Vapor Steam Cleaner
69A vapor Steam Cleaner can be one of your biggest allies when it comes to fighting those months of the year when your allergies seem to run away. If you have allergies and you have tried every pill or shot available you should make sure you do a deep cleaning. People suffering from asthma also benefit from the deep cleaning that a vapor steam cleaner provides. Heater plates that boil the water help sanitize and disinfect these germs and bacteria helping control the allergens that affect you and your asthma. What really makes these so effective is how hot these things heat water. Typical vapor cleaners heat the water from 200 plus degrees up to over 300 degrees. The steam pretty much evaporates after the initial pressure so you don’t have a lot of wet spots left after you clean. My first experience with a vapor cleaner shocked me because I plugged it in and went to do something else and then heard a “pop”. The steam cleaner had been plugged in too long and blew the copper screw top off. It just broke; it did not shoot around the room or anything. This was one of the first versions and I waited for awhile before I bought another one. The safety features they have now help prevent the build up and bursting if you happen to forget you plugged it in while you were doing some other cleaning. Since it is ever becoming increasingly popular to ‘go green” this type of steam cleaner fits right into the idea of the go green theory. The idea of removing chemicals for disinfecting and using pure heat and steam to accomplish the task of disinfecting a home. I am not big on the go green thing but if it is effective and the price is decent then I would opt for the more environment friendly method of cleaning.
Some of the newer cleaners use ‘nano” technology promising to kill virus on contact. I don’t know about “nano” technology or a dry- steam vapor sanitation system. I personally think it just some techno babble to make their products sound better or superior than other products that heat water into steam. It reminds of the person that says I am a sanitation supervisor and someone says you the manager of the garbage people.
As an example a typical home carpet or regular cleaner uses chemicals in the reservoir. It is common for carpet cleaners or bathroom sanitizers or sprays to use chemicals to kill bacterial, mold, mildew, pathogenic germs or other viruses to help keep the area clean. This is effective at times. However, the person suffering from asthma can suffer an asthma attack from the chemicals. This is one of the benefits of using a vapor steam cleaner; it kills the fore mention by using heat rather than chemicals for purification because it is only water or steam. I must say I really loved using it for the first time to clean our stove. The picture below shows our gas stove, if you have ever owned a gas stove you know how things can build up and block the burners from lighting properly. The first time I used it on the stove I was impressed and then the wife found a hundred other things to use it on.
The downside to most vapor steam cleaners is how long you are able to use them before you have to refill the reservoir. You start to get into your rhythm of cleaning and then you have to stop and refill and wait a minute until it heats the water back up. I mostly use a small hand held cleaners but I think if you can find a decently priced and large vapor steam cleaner it well worth the cash for the cleaning you get and the money you save on buying different cleaners.
